GABE Shop - New Store Manager
The board has recently hired a new store manager after Carol Fergusson left us after being awarded the position of Executive Director of the Gabriola Arts Council. We wish Carol all the best in this new stage of her life. We advertised the position in the Sounder for two weeks. We received 6 applicants of which three were shortlisted. Interviews were conducted and the successful applicant was Rhonda Bruce.
Rhonda was working as a receptionist at the Haven. She was involved as a volunteer with GAC and other not for profit organization. We look forward to working with her once the store reopens.
The GABE shop Welcomes You!
The Gabriola Auxiliary for Island Health Care is looking for volunteers to work at The GABE Shop. Shifts are three hours and you can work once a week or once a month. No previous retail experience required, training provided. We are a pretty relaxed crew and like to laugh.
Come down to the shop and ask for Carol if you'd like to know more.
